Accessibility Analysis
Analysis of municipal websites and activities to increase digital accessibility
The project addresses key challenges in the field of digital accessibility and mobility for people with various disabilities, focusing on improving independence, safety, and social inclusion. Project activities are oriented towards analyzing the current state, designing innovative solutions, and transferring knowledge among stakeholders.
- In the first work package, the project includes an accessibility analysis of the websites of selected Slovenian municipalities involved in the multimodal mobility project, alongside conducting online training for municipalities on the importance of and improvements to web accessibility.
- The second work package focuses on designing solutions for blind and visually impaired public transport users. The project addresses the lack of audio information and designs a pilot solution for automated audio announcements of bus arrivals and stops during transit.
- In the third work package, a training concept is being developed in the field of mobility and digital accessibility for various target groups. The focus is on strengthening competences, raising awareness of rights, and understanding the needs of vulnerable groups.
- The final work package of the project includes formulation of proposals for new, developmentally promising solutions to support the inclusion of vulnerable groups. Key areas include accessible public spaces, public transport improvements, the use of new technologies (e.g., voice assistants, smart notifications), mobile application development, and the use of virtual environments to simulate the experiences of people with disabilities.
