The DBBT project is focused on the introduction and implementation of modern study programs in the field of digital broadcasting, broadband technologies, and multimedia in the Western Balkan region. The curricula are designed to directly meet the needs of the labor market and support the upcoming transition from analog to digital broadcasting in the partner countries.

To ensure that students acquire comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge, the project involves establishing specialized laboratories equipped with modern hardware and software for analyzing and designing broadcasting systems, broadband networks, and digital multimedia services. Professional HDTV production equipment will also be included, enabling a realistic simulation of the working environment.

Graduates of the program will be qualified to develop multimedia applications for smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs, model IP and wireless networks, design radio propagation, develop digital services, and more. This specialized skill profile significantly improves employability and contributes to modernizing the technological sectors across the region.

The role of the Multimedia Lab (LMMFE) is vital, as the faculty transfers its extensive European experience, expertise, and best practices from similar EU study programs into the project, ensuring the high quality of the implemented curricula.
